TunicLove was honored by NASDAQ and invited to ring the closing bell on the eve of Thanksgiving along with its nonprofit partner L.E.A.D Uganda and its representative The RJM Group. NASDAQ has clearly appreciated our ideology and the work that we are doing supporting children in need in the developing world. With our “You Buy 1-We Gift 1” policy, each tunic sold is matched by a gift of basic clothing from us to a child in need. We are enabling charitable organizations such as LEAD Uganda with their causes, and look forward to more such partnerships with charitable organizations. Thank you NASDAQ for this rare honor!

Supporters of Lead Uganda came together to enjoy a fashion show and a silent auction. A shout out to the other designers who particpated, including Cesar Galindo (designs for Dolce Gabbana & Calvin Klein) and Kevin Christiana (former contestant on Project Runway). TunicLove’s tunics were an instant hit, reflected by the bids of the many guests participating in the auction. As contributors to the event, it indeed felt great to be in good company with other designers who share TunicLove’s philosophy of helping children in need. “It's a really great cause,” says Ugandan fashion model Camilla Barungi, "The image of the African child is always the starving kid. To see kids yearning to get an education is inspiring. That's what I like about LEAD Uganda."
